Purpose and Methodology
DFS Team Optimizer is a personal fantasy football research site for reviewing weekly projections and exploring simulated lineups. Its predictions and simulation/team-building tools are part of a personal passion project that has been evolving for nearly 10 years.
The team builder starts with projected player outcomes, simulates slate results thousands of times, and looks for which players appear most often in model-defined optimal lineups. It also accounts for projected ownership so users can explore lower-owned alternatives with strong simulated outcomes and compare different roster constructions.

Predictions
The Predictions tab gives you a faster way to find players ranked using projected score and ownership across thousands of simulated outcomes. Use it to compare projection, salary value, usage, leverage, injury status, and how frequently a player appears in ownership-adjusted simulations.
The table focuses on players selected at least once in ownership-adjusted simulations, which keeps the view centered on players with viable score and ownership paths in the featured Sunday contests. Players can also be added directly to the lineup builder for a quick salary and roster check.

Shotgun Lineups
The Shotgun Lineups tab is the shortcut when you do not want to hand-build a lineup from scratch: draw one automatically from the available simulation results, then review salary, projection, ownership, stack structure, and each player's share of the currently eligible lineup pool.
Including players forces every sampled lineup to contain all selected players. Excluding a player removes every lineup containing that player before sampling, which makes it useful for testing pivots or avoiding players you do not want in a build.
